This is the all new and redesigned ICP circuit board in the matrix format.  This is for I/O systems that use a matrix decoding for each switch position.  Connection is via a 20 pin IDC ribbon type connector and cable.  Cable is supplied with one end crimped and the other left open to allow for custom applications. 

A new feature added to these boards is the use of miniature connectors on the back side for the toggle switches, backlight power and the thumbwheels switches as well.  All of the switches have been added to the matrix, however some are NOT momentary and any combination of those two plus another switch will induce a ghosting effect.  Diodes were NOT used on this circuit (even though you see them in the picture) due to cost of assembly and complexity of design.  Even the real mil-spec ICP does not integrate the keypad with the toggles.  It's best to wire these separte from the keypad, however you can wire them altogether if you find you will not use those combintations that cause ghosting.

All of the essential buttons are wired into the first 32 inputs thus making the use of a Windows comaptiably DirectX joystick a viable option to avoid the use of keystrokes.  This can be programmed into falcon directly.

Tactile buttons are rated at 550g of push force and 100,000 cycles.  There is a most definite feel when these are pressed and offer excellent tactile feedback.

Backlighting is supplied via 28 LEDs.  You can choose either white or green backlighting at no extra cost.  A white solder mask has been used to provide an enhanced reflection.

These boards are designed and meant to be used with the ICP kit offered.
